Portugal's attentive Rodolfo Miranda managed to snatch the ball when Özgür Özbay made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Hamdi Ortan in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes in the game Mehmet Akif Cerme did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Fetih Avcu. 15 minutes into the match, LOI's Sulo Montaña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. LOI's Mehmet Akif Cerme managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Faustino Almeida in the 16 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Sulo Montaña could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Wilson Amorim however easily saved by the left post. 18 minutes into the game, Sulo Montaña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Buturugã saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Hamdi Ortan in the 28th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Felipe Barreto put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of George Buturugã. Felipe Barreto took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Buturugã. George Buturugã dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The supporters of LOI booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graciano Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes, LOI's Ahmet Hamdi Ortan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilson Amorim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LOI reached it. The audience cheered when Ahmet Hamdi Ortan's long shot passed Wilson Amorim's right side. It was 2-2, 42 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Sulo Montaña tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Sulo Montaña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Sulo Montaña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Sulo Montaña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sulo Montaña took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. 61 minutes into the match, LOI's Sulo Montaña sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgür Özbay in the 67th minute of play. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. LOI made a substitution. Tayyip Taylan replaced Hüseyin Cahit Gökdoğan. Faustino Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özgür Özbay, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. LOI's Tayyip Taylan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Faustino Almeida in the 74 minute of the game. 74 minutes into the game, Sulo Montaña cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85th minute Sulo Montaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 94 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Almeida. LOI were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Portugal for a fine match.
