In the 10th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Meesters to maneuver through the defense. Birger Påk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 21 minutes into the game, Jonas Vallmark cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Birger Påk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 29th minute of play. Birger Påk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. If Per-Arne Ström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birger Påk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Simon Britz to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Stream Sponsoren getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Niklas Söderberg hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Birger Påk. Wim Wilmes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Jonas Vallmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dan Bolin in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Simon Britz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Britz in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. Stream Sponsoren's Birger Påk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 83rd minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasmus Ljungberg in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Stream Sponsoren's Duncan Jackson got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Netherlands players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
