The referee ignored Croatia's protests and gave Toni Mauzer a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Toni Mauzer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 孟海平 in the 28th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute, Oklahoma City Elblą's Bogdan Bartoszek dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. Baru Sanchis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilija Skugor having to make a save. Toni Mauzer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Sebati Rafih tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 8-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bogdan Bartoszek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Croatia defense, Mikolaj Kalak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. The Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilija Skugor should have stopped the shot. After having played for 60 minutes, Mikolaj Kalak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oklahoma City Elblą's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikolaj Kalak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ilija Skugor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 79 minutes into the match, Bogdan Bartoszek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilija Skugor. Croatia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogdan Bartoszek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 15-0. The Oklahoma City Elblą fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Oklahoma City Elblą's Mikolaj Kalak looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
