After having played for 28 minutes, Albin Holweck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albin Holweck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Carlos Alberto Soares took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. Tommy Kahn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rdth minute of the game Carlos Alberto Soares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Germany booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime França didn't get a good kick on the ball. Catugi FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Frank Sachs scored to the left of an out of position Paulo Gaizkine, making the score, 6-1. Catugi FC's Paulo Gaizkine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Catugi FC fully deserved thier win.
