Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Patryk Olejarz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmund Nocny in the 13th minute of the match. Patryk Olejarz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 19th minute of play forced KS Zgredy's goalkeeper Patryk Olejarz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mutu Surdu in the 22nd minute. KS Zgredy's Patryk Olejarz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. KS Zgredy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmund Nocny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gustaaf Groeneveldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patryk Olejarz was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edmund Nocny to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Gust Ennemans threw the ball into play from the sideline. KS Zgredy's Roch Winograd quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 53 minutes into the match, Mutu Surdu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, KS Zgredy's Patryk Olejarz got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wasyl Debowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. After a rather tough play, KS Zgredy's Norbert Paprotny got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Many of Netherlands's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Netherlands may have spent more time on the ball, but KS Zgredy were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
