Bryant King showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 10th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryant King saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Felipe Barreto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bryant King was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Harry Cool's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Bryant King reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bryant King showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 20th minute of play forced Harry Cool's goalkeeper Bryant King to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marc Strasdeit the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Harry Cool protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marc Strasdeit had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Felipe Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipe Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryant King breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Parada to make the kick off. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Enrique Parada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Harry Cool's Süruri Erbaş was substituted for Enrique Parada. Harry Cool's Bryant King played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 66th minute of play. Süruri Erbaş fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 69th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. In the 74th minute Süruri Erbaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 79th minute of play forced Harry Cool's goalkeeper Bryant King to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Süruri Erbaş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Süruri Erbaş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 94 minutes of play, Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bryant King was left in no man's land by his defense there! Portugal succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Harry Cool had controlled the match.
