Tenorio Reiriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 4th minute of play. When Zaccheo Andolina came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Italy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zaccheo Andolina couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Krišjānis Ābeļnieks tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute, Porziano Marchitelli made a precise shot to the right of Tenorio Reiriz. Barcelona de América's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eraldo Pittelli ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Barcelona de América's Eraldo Pittelli to fire away a dangerous shot which Flavio Vittori despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Tenorio Reiriz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Barcelona de América's Dani Ganado was substituted for Perlaza Lena. Barcelona de América's Juan Guerrero was substituted for Eraldo Pittelli. Tenorio Reiriz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 65th minute. In the 67thth minute of the game Zaccheo Andolina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barcelona de América's Tenorio Reiriz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Tenorio Reiriz. If Porziano Marchitelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Guerrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Curto in the 92nd minute of play forced Barcelona de América's goalkeeper Tenorio Reiriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Barcelona de América's Tenorio Reiriz got control of the ball when Porziano Marchitelli tried to sneak it across the goal line.
