Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zaccheo Andolina took the kick off in the first half of the match. Italy's attentive Eliseo Cutri managed to snatch the ball when Francis MacAlister made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Francis MacAlister, made in the 4th minute of the game. In the 10th minute, Italy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jonatan Euloxu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Luciano Mouricio sent off a good shot on target. Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 20th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Montrelle came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Siricio Liotta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Wieslaw Panasewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Siricio Liotta took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wieslaw Panasewicz. Wieslaw Panasewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's Reynaldo Montrelle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Vittori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wieslaw Panasewicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The Gimnasia y tiro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Italy were winning 0-1.

Italy were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Gimnasia y tiro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sigfrido Auletta took the corner. Wieslaw Panasewicz came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Siricio Liotta. But to his dismay, Siricio Liotta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Wieslaw Panasewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Uriel Ariando made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. 68 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Wieslaw Panasewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Gimnasia y tiro defense, Siricio Liotta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wieslaw Panasewicz. The Gimnasia y tiro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wieslaw Panasewicz should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdel Karim Santirso in the 75th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gimnasia y tiro's zone, Sigfrido Auletta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wieslaw Panasewicz came out of the goal and Sigfrido Auletta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute Italy were awarded a corner. Sigfrido Auletta went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Gimnasia y tiro booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siricio Liotta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Siricio Liotta kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Adriano Curto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wieslaw Panasewicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia y tiro's Francis MacAlister got a free kick in the 88th minute. Eliseo Cutri hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Wieslaw Panasewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Curto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Italy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gimnasia y tiro.
