Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off which started today's match. With his leg Arnout Reekers managed to avoid a goal in the 2ndth minute, when Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mao Zhen Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Eikelkamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Mao Zhen Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to Academia Monte Gordo getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Adolfo Silva hit a great ball. After 17 minutes Academia Monte Gordo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong managed to reach the ball for a save. 19 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Mao Zhen Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Christian Westerstrand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Westerstrand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mao Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mao Zhen Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 35th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boruc Brysz got free with Arnout Reekers in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mao Zhen Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Mao Zhen Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 40th minute of play. Fabrício Lustosa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mao Zhen Hong having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Westerstrand to make the kick off. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Lustosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Monte Gordo from getting a goal against them. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Lustosa in the 56th minute of play. Mao Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijsbert ter Kruimer to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mao Zhen Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mao Zhen Hong came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Mao Zhen Hong successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Academia Monte Gordo's Fabrício Lustosa in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mao Zhen Hong having to make a save. Academia Monte Gordo made a substitution. Adélio Infante replaced Christian Westerstrand. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Lustosa in the 80th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Mao Zhen Hong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Mao Zhen Hong threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Mao Zhen Hong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 88th minute.
