Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off which started today's match. Academia Monte Gordo's Mao Zhen Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Yves Dervaux had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mao Zhen Hong. Academia Monte Gordo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yves Dervaux was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Adolfo Silva made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Adérito Abreu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 23rd minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mao Zhen Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mao Zhen Hong was left in no man's land by his defense there! Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Christian Westerstrand sent off a good shot on target. Academia Monte Gordo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Codrin Zamfira in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrício Lustosa. In the 37th minute, Christian Westerstrand reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Casper Claes. The goal made the score 1-2. Mao Zhen Hong didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Mao Zhen Hong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. The Academia Monte Gordo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belgium were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Westerstrand to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Westerstrand came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mao Zhen Hong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mao Zhen Hong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adélio Infante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Academia Monte Gordo's Jago Back got a free kick in the 90th minute. Mao Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casper Claes came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Academia Monte Gordo's Adélio Infante. But to his dismay, Adélio Infante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Belgium eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
