In the 16th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Qiao Lei Quan in the 24th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Qiao Lei Quan. Angelo Melani made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Angelo Melani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st match minute, Girondins4Ever was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizinho Diniz to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Qiao Lei Quan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Girondins4Ever's Igor Thibault was substituted for Dorian Colle. With a little luck, Girondins4Ever's Angelo Melani got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74th minute Daniel Poiré shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean-Pascal Rouge was slow to take the kick. During this time Girondins4Ever's players had a chance to rest. Girondins4Ever's Jean-Pascal Rouge was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Angelo Melani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Jean-Pascal Rouge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Girondins4Ever got a freekick which was hit by Hakim Gaulin. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
