In the 10th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Eusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Eusko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Stergios Gitkos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narciso Eusko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 20th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Wim Wilmes made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Eusko. Glyka Nera FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Stergios Gitkos hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 38th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Glyka Nera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Narciso Eusko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Eusko came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a throw-in 52 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Wim Wilmes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 55th minute of play forced Glyka Nera FC's goalkeeper Narciso Eusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Narciso Eusko, 0-4. In the 60th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Eusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Jarkko Laatikainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glyka Nera FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarkko Laatikainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Narciso Eusko threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Narciso Eusko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 69th minute. The supporters of Glyka Nera FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kees Mooiweer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 minutes of play, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Narciso Eusko was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Lars Meesters hit a great ball. If Kostas Teneketzis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Güven Çırakoğlu came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Eusko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 83rd minute. When Wim Wilmes fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherlands's protests and gave Wim Wilmes a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarkko Laatikainen in the 88th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glyka Nera FC were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kostas Teneketzis took the corner. Güven Çırakoğlu hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarkko Laatikainen in the 94th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 96th minute of play forced Glyka Nera FC's goalkeeper Narciso Eusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
