Jairo do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the match, Catadão's goal looked a bit too open when Antero Rebocho came free, but Jairo do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Catadão's Jairo do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hilário lago in the 42nd minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dráuzio França to make the kick off. In the 69th minute, Hermes Arruda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo do Vale was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. Miguel Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Brodel, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Catadão's goal looked a bit too open when Hermes Arruda came free, but Jairo do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
