The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Alexandre Infante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th match minute, Bergamim F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Marinho to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 24 played minutes Bergamim F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Oséas de Castro. In the 34th match minute, Bergamim F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Tasso to maneuver through the defense. If Antero Rebocho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Celso Estrada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stars Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bergamim F.C. the free kick. Antero Rebocho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Dionísio having to make a save.

In the 56th minute, Américo Conde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antero Rebocho struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Mathias Dionísio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stars Academy. The supporters of Bergamim F.C. booed when Stars Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Estrada didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathias Dionísio came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Stars Academy's Veríssimo Peralta. But to his dismay, Veríssimo Peralta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Mathias Dionísio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antero Rebocho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bergamim F.C.'s Mathias Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antero Rebocho in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Bergamim F.C. booed when Stars Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermes Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Hermes Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Dionísio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Stars Academy had won after a very even match.
