Fernan Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Varela in the 35th minute of play. Gualterio Bonadona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elder de Queiroz having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Varela to make the kick off. In the 67th match minute, Olds School Pepo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Orixe to maneuver through the defense. Fernan Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Varela in the 82nd minute of play. Fernan Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Varela in the 86th minute of the match. A collision led to Olds School Pepo getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Angelo Urtzi hit a great ball. Fernan Cortez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitório Rezende in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Orixe in the 93rd minute of play forced Catadão's goalkeeper Elder de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filomeno Orixe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elder de Queiroz. Catadão's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
