Mathijs Rokeloos started the match with the kick off. Gregory Thielemans kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Dé 武松 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Kuido Undusk made a huge save. Durval Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jean-Louis Van Bever tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute of the match KFC Cromvelde got a corner. Les Presidents FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dé 武松 ran over to the corner to take the kick. Andries Vermeiren made a great header on KFC Cromvelde's corner, it was just that Les Presidents FC's Kuido Undusk managed to reach the ball for a save. Kuido Undusk stood somewhat misplaced when Andries Vermeiren came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 21 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andries Vermeiren in the 25th minute of play forced Les Presidents FC's goalkeeper Kuido Undusk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathijs Rokeloos got free with Kuido Undusk in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dé 武松 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kuido Undusk having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermelando Coello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kuido Undusk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Heinz Kaltz, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Les Presidents FC's Kuido Undusk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathijs Rokeloos in the 60th minute of play. Jean-Louis Van Bever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Aparecido in the 64th minute of play. Cosmin Contra lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. KFC Cromvelde's Jochen Van den Panhuizen was substituted for Joel Barcelos. In the 67th minute, one of KFC Cromvelde:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KFC Cromvelde. 71 minutes into the game, Les Presidents FC's Hermelando Coello nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean-Louis Van Bever made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The audience was convinced that Karl-Heinz Kaltz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kuido Undusk was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andries Vermeiren in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kuido Undusk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kuido Undusk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andries Vermeiren, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Mathijs Rokeloos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kuido Undusk. Les Presidents FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathijs Rokeloos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 87th minute, Zbigniew Narbut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amadeo Guillelme during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Les Presidents FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeo Guillelme. Les Presidents FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
