Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Åkesson in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Söderström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabian Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dé 武松, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Fabian Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathijs Rokeloos in the 27th minute of play. Jean-Louis Van Bever made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remy Van Eyken in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Haithabu FC got a corner. KFC Cromvelde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Conrad Vrolijcx ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jean-Louis Van Bever didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remy Van Eyken went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Fabian Söderström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Heinz Kaltz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, KFC Cromvelde's goalkeeper Jean-Louis Van Bever had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remy Van Eyken. Haithabu FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Conrad Vrolijcx in the 42nd minute. The corner led to Haithabu FC's Kurt Slaghmeulders getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Cromvelde's zone, Remy Van Eyken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Louis Van Bever came out of the goal and Remy Van Eyken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henry Åkesson made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dé 武松. Jean-Louis Van Bever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remy Van Eyken in the 55th minute of play. Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Haithabu FC from getting a goal against them. Fabian Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé 武松 in the 61st minute of the match. Haithabu FC were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after KFC Cromvelde's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Conrad Vrolijcx took the corner. Jean-Louis Van Bever took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remy Van Eyken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haithabu FC made a substitution. Rigoberto Piearres replaced Remy Van Eyken. A nice corner shot did that Conrad Vrolijcx got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jean-Louis Van Bever quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 71st minute, Rigoberto Piearres made a precise shot to the right of Jean-Louis Van Bever. KFC Cromvelde's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 83 minutes KFC Cromvelde's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Conrad Vrolijcx who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rigoberto Piearres in the 91st minute of play forced KFC Cromvelde's goalkeeper Jean-Louis Van Bever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KFC Cromvelde's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
