Fabian Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ümit Karan, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Fabian Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnauld Van Impe in the 17th minute of the match. Fabian Söderström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnauld Van Impe's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After a rather tough play, Haithabu FC's Remy Van Eyken got a free kick in the 20th minute. Brugge United's Ümit Karan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Vítor Baia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Laurențiu Roşculeţs short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Fabian Söderström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Slaghmeulders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remy Van Eyken in the 36th minute of the match. Vítor Baia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remy Van Eyken's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Fabian Söderström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnauld Van Impe in the 39th minute. The supporters of Brugge United booed when Haithabu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remy Van Eyken didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remy Van Eyken in the 42nd minute of the match. Haithabu FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adrian Astigar in the 43rd minute. After taking down the ball on Haithabu FC's corner Adrian Astigar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vítor Baia quite easily take care of the ball. When Maksim Rilski fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brugge United's protests and gave Maksim Rilski a yellow card for diving instead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ümit Karan in the 53rd minute of play forced Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Ümit Karan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ümit Karan in the 63rd minute of play forced Haithabu FC's goalkeeper Fabian Söderström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Söderström came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Brugge United's Ümit Karan. But to his dismay, Ümit Karan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Fabian Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ümit Karan in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Ümit Karan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kurt Slaghmeulders blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vítor Baia having to make a save. After 77 minutes, Laurențiu Roşculeţ mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brugge United and the Haithabu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Haithabu FC's Rigoberto Piearres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vítor Baia. That made the score 2-1 after 78 minutes of play. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Albonico in the 82nd minute of play. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Torres in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Piearres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Baia. Brugge United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Piearres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The audience was convinced that Ümit Karan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabian Söderström was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute Laurențiu Roşculeţ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Piearres came free, but Vítor Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
