Kania Gostyń were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after KS Piastów Sosnowiec's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adam Wnukowski took the corner. In the 14th minute Wiktor Falkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomasz Piwko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiktor Falkiewicz in the 51st minute of play forced KS Piastów Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Tomasz Piwko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomasz Piwko came out of the goal and Severiano Oliverio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Kania Gostyń's Wiktor Falkiewicz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomasz Piwko. Tomasz Piwko yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Kania Gostyń made a substitution. Alessio Mao replaced Daniel Pleban. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konstanty Domalik in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomasz Piwko saved KS Piastów Sosnowiec from getting behind. Boruc Furgal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stelian Joldea went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Marcin Kondysar hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tomasz Piwko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konstanty Domalik in the 81st minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, KS Piastów Sosnowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Konstanty Domalik came free, but Tomasz Piwko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kania Gostyń's Severiano Oliverio got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind KS Piastów Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Tomasz Piwko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Norbert Kostka got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomasz Piwko quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Tanek Ratulowski with Reşat Rasif as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstanty Domalik in the 95th minute of play forced KS Piastów Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Tomasz Piwko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see KS Piastów Sosnowiec lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
