Laboon SK's Denizhan Ertaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Belgium booed when Laboon SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakkı Onur Oran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gökdeniz Karadeniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Sha Yin in the 33rd minute of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denizhan Ertaş read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Guillaume Bonte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Laboon SK's Hakkı Onur Oran got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
