Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Italy's Zaccheo Andolina started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Tivadar Demeter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szombathely Squirrels fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 7 minutes, Luciano Aued mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Szombathely Squirrels and the Italy players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Luciano Aued hit a great ball. Porziano Marchitelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnold Szuper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Porziano Marchitelli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnold Szuper. Szombathely Squirrels's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Porziano Marchitelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Italy's Sigfrido Auletta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnold Szuper narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Siricio Liotta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Michel Goiano hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Sigfrido Auletta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Sigfrido Auletta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnold Szuper breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tivadar Demeter took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Vittori. Flavio Vittori dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Zaccheo Andolina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Cutri made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gianpaolo Mascari. 34 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's Tivadar Demeter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Vittori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute Siricio Liotta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Szuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnold Szuper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sostene Vitulli hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute of the match Bai Jun Chong shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Flavio Vittori showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Szombathely Squirrels's Lukas Arlikevičius was substituted for Luciano Aued. The wind increased when Tivadar Demeter made the kick off in the second half. Szombathely Squirrels made a substitution. Lei Jian Xiong replaced Tivadar Demeter. Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by József Varga, made in the 58th minute of the game. 64 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnold Szuper narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 66th minute of play. Lei Jian Xiong might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Vittori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lei Jian Xiong ran back to his position shaking his head. Arnold Szuper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's Lei Jian Xiong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Vittori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bai Jun Chong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Flavio Vittori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81stth minute of the game Sigfrido Auletta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Siricio Liotta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by József Varga, made in the 88th minute of the game. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amanda Almqvist in the 89th minute of play. If Adriano Curto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnold Szuper was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Adriano Curto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Adriano Curto really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Despite being the better team, Italy failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
