Denmark's Lars Steen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zheko Lenev in the 23 minute of the game. Chris Nygaard took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trayan Dafov. Trayan Dafov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 30th match minute, Knights Templar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Bilbo to maneuver through the defense. When Zlatko Stumbov came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Knights Templar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zlatko Stumbov couldn't finish the play. Knights Templar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chris Nygaard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Zlatko Stumbov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 84th minute of the game.
