FC Pierońskie Hanysy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dobromir Brack was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when FC Pierońskie Hanysy's Wieslaw Mazierz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Dawid Cytrynski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tommy Kahn firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 19th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincenty Gdaniec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Thorbjørn Brunswick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Albin Holweck hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wincenty Gdaniec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
