When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Cecilio Tristan put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Görkem Tokdemir. The supporters of La MaKina del Parque booed when Abuba Akotonon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. J.J Okocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cecilio Tristan to strike the kick off in the second half. Abuba Akotonon FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Atay Sayılgan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Atay Sayılgan made a great header on La MaKina del Parque's corner, it was just that Abuba Akotonon FC's Hugo Orlando Gatti managed to reach the ball for a save. Görkem Tokdemir came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Abuba Akotonon FC's Vânderson Barbosa. But to his dismay, Vânderson Barbosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Abuba Akotonon FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of La MaKina del Parque:s goal.
