Gugu de Mendonça made a great header on Road To Glory's corner, it was just that Arquímedes's Jeremias Cordario managed to reach the ball for a save. 41 minutes into the match, Road To Glory's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Librado came free, but Ariel Venerando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Road To Glory's Ariel Venerando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Abila in the 43rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egon Markusson during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Arquímedes booed when Road To Glory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egon Markusson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Road To Glory were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gugu de Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
