Ferdinando Buccella started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Juli Alvarez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Ponc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Villa Mitre City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dedê Donatello took the corner. After some careless play in the Villa Mitre City defense, Prudencio Goiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ariel Ponc. The Villa Mitre City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ariel Ponc should have stopped the shot. If Feliciano Fernendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prudencio Goiz in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Ponc saved Villa Mitre City from getting behind. If Ferdinando Buccella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinando Buccella who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Silvano Portillo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 24 minutes into the game, Villa Mitre City's Flavio Lauro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvano Portillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Silvano Portillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliciano Fernendo in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prudencio Goiz in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Ponc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute, Juli Alvarez made a precise shot to the right of Ariel Ponc. Villa Mitre City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Prudencio Goiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ariel Ponc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Prudencio Goiz ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre City's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Goiz came free, but Ariel Ponc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Silvano Portillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Buccella in the 42nd minute of play. Prudencio Goiz took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ariel Ponc. Ariel Ponc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juli Alvarez to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Villa Mitre City got a freekick which was hit by Benigno Ibañez. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Ariel Ponc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Prudencio Goiz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 58th playminute. When Prudencio Goiz came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prudencio Goiz couldn't finish the play. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Saturnino Romo was substituted for Prudencio Goiz. Eloy Urdaspal made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kenny Sparkes immediately put the ball in play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdinando Buccella in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvano Portillo saved ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ from getting behind. Ariel Ponc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Romo in the 80th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Saturnino Romo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ariel Ponc. That made the score 1-6 in the 81 minute of play. Ariel Ponc was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Saturnino Romo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Saturnino Romo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. 88 minutes into the game, Flavio Lauro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-7. Silvano Portillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villa Mitre City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Saturnino Romo was slow to take the kick. During this time ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led to ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Dobromir Prokowski getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 94 minutes into the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Dobromir Prokowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Ponc narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ariel Ponc was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Saturnino Romo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-8 in the 96 minute of play. Although Villa Mitre City had been in control for most of the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ still came away with the win.
