Abuba Akotonon FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salvador Hats was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 21 minutes into the match, Vânderson Barbosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santos Orlan. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 36 played minutes El Fortín de Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Lucio Stanislao. The audience was convinced that Salvador Hats's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Orlando Gatti was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvador Hats was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's Salvador Hats sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Orlando Gatti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Casimiro Policarpio fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Fortín de Floresta's protests and gave Casimiro Policarpio a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of El Fortín de Floresta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Abuba Akotonon FC:s goal. Genaro Elivareo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Hats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvador Hats in the 61st minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to El Fortín de Floresta getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Casimiro Policarpio hit a great ball. El Fortín de Floresta made a substitution. Eleuterio Palben replaced Lucio Stanislao. Casimiro Policarpio kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Abuba Akotonon FC's Cecilio Tristan got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by El Fortín de Floresta's Marco Paulin. But to his dismay, Marco Paulin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Vânderson Barbosa hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Santos Orlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genaro Elivareo in the 86th minute. El Fortín de Floresta's Desiderio Brais got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 91 played minutes El Fortín de Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Alvino Tinto. In the 92nd minute, Vânderson Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robt Paulet's late challenge caught a El Fortín de Floresta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robt Paulet helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th match minute, Abuba Akotonon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robt Paulet to maneuver through the defense.
