Alvar Öberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gugu de Mendonça went, in the 2nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Rio Tercero's goalkeeper Alvar Öberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Evelio Abecia charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evelio Abecia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ariel Venerando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Karlsson in the 10th minute of the match. Gugu de Mendonça did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Alvar Öberg 12 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Rio Tercero's zone, Gugu de Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvar Öberg came out of the goal and Gugu de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alvar Öberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gugu de Mendonça went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 20 minutes into the game, Gugu de Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Alvar Öberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gugu de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvar Öberg having to interfere. Alvar Öberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gugu de Mendonça in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Alejandro Jerrald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Venerando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atletico Rio Tercero:s Alvar Öberg showed great skill when he stopped Egon Markusson:s penalty. 32 minutes into the match, Road To Glory's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Karlsson came free, but Ariel Venerando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Gugu de Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Alvar Öberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gugu de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atletico Rio Tercero's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gugu de Mendonça was slow to take the kick. During this time Road To Glory's players had a chance to rest. Alvar Öberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu de Mendonça in the 46th minute of the match. After 46 played minutes Club Atletico Rio Tercero got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Abecia. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gugu de Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. Alvar Öberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Gaspard in the 51st minute of the match. Road To Glory's Ariel Venerando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Road To Glory from getting a goal against them. Gugu de Mendonça took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvar Öberg. Alvar Öberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Gugu de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu de Mendonça in the 62nd minute of play forced Club Atletico Rio Tercero's goalkeeper Alvar Öberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvar Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu de Mendonça in the 65th minute of play. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Gugu de Mendonça sped through Club Atletico Rio Tercero's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alvar Öberg. In the 72nd minute Jacobo Mark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Venerando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gugu de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alvar Öberg came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça. But to his dismay, Gugu de Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gugu de Mendonça in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvar Öberg saved Club Atletico Rio Tercero from getting behind. After 90 played minutes Club Atletico Rio Tercero got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Joachim. Gugu de Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvar Öberg having to make a save. In the 96th minute Gugu de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvar Öberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Atletico Rio Tercero players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Road To Glory.
