With a little luck, Arquímedes's Jeremias Cordario got control of the ball when Ferdinando Buccella tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arquímedes Ladio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Ariel Ponc made a huge save. 86 minutes into the match, Feliciano Fernendo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeremias Cordario. Arquímedes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Feliciano Fernendo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The Villa Mitre City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arquímedes's performance. The match ended with a win for Arquímedes.
