After some careless play in the La Herradura FC defense, Gugu de Mendonça kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of You Sheng Qi. The La Herradura FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that You Sheng Qi should have stopped the shot. In the 11thth minute of the game Gugu de Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Herradura FC's You Sheng Qi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gugu de Mendonça blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without You Sheng Qi having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gugu de Mendonça got free with You Sheng Qi in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marian Brytan in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ariel Venerando saved Road To Glory from getting behind. In the 18th minute, Gugu de Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. You Sheng Qi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 20th minute, Osvaldo Grillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, La Herradura FC's You Sheng Qi got control of the ball when Gao Xing Zhen tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu de Mendonça in the 31st minute of play forced La Herradura FC's goalkeeper You Sheng Qi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. You Sheng Qi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu de Mendonça in the 33rd minute of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind La Herradura FC's goalkeeper You Sheng Qi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gugu de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without You Sheng Qi having to interfere. Ariel Venerando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Grillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The audience was convinced that Gugu de Mendonça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but You Sheng Qi was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. 60 minutes into the match, La Herradura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu de Mendonça came free, but You Sheng Qi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of La Herradura FC booed when Road To Glory was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Baldovino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Ariel Venerando when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gugu de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ariel Venerando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Brytan in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Gugu de Mendonça notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of La Herradura FC's You Sheng Qi. You Sheng Qi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 81 minutes into the match, La Herradura FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Abeita came free, but You Sheng Qi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Osvaldo Grillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Venerando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Road To Glory were victorious despite being under pressure from La Herradura FC for much of the match.
