Carles Borg tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Alfredo Joey. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 11th minute. In the 18th minute, Jacob Albuquerque ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Joey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Palermo's Alfredo Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Noe in the 22nd minute of play. KaoS Futbol Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Noel Hargrave in the 23rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Lluis Companys managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
