In the 11th minute of the match Azulgranas AFC got a corner. Palermo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Radomir Naskrent ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marcelino Chaime struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Bonifacio Senon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palermo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santiago Mino in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bonifacio Senon saved Azulgranas AFC from getting behind. Arnoldo Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Senon having to interfere. In the 26th minute of the match Azulgranas AFC got a corner. Palermo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on Azulgranas AFC's corner Radomir Naskrent fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alfredo Joey quite easily take care of the ball. When Palermo's Santiago Mino in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Azulgranas AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Santiago Mino did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Bonifacio Senon 29 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Michaël Myers came free, but Alfredo Joey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bonifacio Senon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute Santiago Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bonifacio Senon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azulgranas AFC's Flavio Beremundo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alfons Hellström, made in the 55th minute of the game. Bonifacio Senon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Chaime, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Sebastián Méndez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Azulgranas AFC's Bonifacio Senon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Felo in the 61st minute of play. In the 64thth minute of the game Santiago Mino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Azulgranas AFC's Bonifacio Senon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bonifacio Senon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michaël Myers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otto Copperfield got free with Alfredo Joey in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfredo Joey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Michaël Myers in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Mino in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bonifacio Senon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Otto Copperfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Palermo's Alfredo Joey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michaël Myers in the 84th minute of play. Otto Copperfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alfredo Joey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saul Felo made in the 89th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Arnoldo Medina however managed to control. Santiago Mino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Azulgranas AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Palermo.
