After 4 played minutes Pincha FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramon-Angel Sadurni. Pierluigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Silvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Pierluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Roldanillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Pincha FC fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Pincha FC's Marcial Roldanillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Carlos Quentin made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Lluis Companys sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Quentin was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Lluis Companys capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lluis Companys really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Albuquerque in the 45th minute of play forced Pincha FC's goalkeeper Carlos Quentin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Roldanillo in the 47th minute of play forced KaoS Futbol Club's goalkeeper Pierluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacob Albuquerque was the one to do the kick off. Marcial Roldanillo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pierluigi Buffon firmly grabbed it by the left post.
