After some careless play in the NECKER49 defense, Oliverios Marcilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timoteo Maldonado. The NECKER49 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timoteo Maldonado should have stopped the shot. Manúel Bento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Pasqual in the 33rd minute of the match. If Severiano Pasqual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frank Catarinense scored 3-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Timoteo Maldonado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. NECKER49's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
