Guaberto Quico started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Guaberto Quico put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of John Arvidsson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Primitivo Fidensio in the 8th minute of play forced Menofta's goalkeeper John Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Rutger Rosendal took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ambrosio Quilino to make any attempt to save it. 13 minutes into the match, Guaberto Quico notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Menofta's John Arvidsson. John Arvidsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. John Arvidsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Derwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Arvidsson came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Marlin FC's Pablo Orti. But to his dismay, Pablo Orti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Pablo Orti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. John Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Menofta's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Orti came free, but John Arvidsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Rutger Rosendal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rutger Rosendal got free with Ambrosio Quilino in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute Pablo Orti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Arvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Quico in the 34th minute of play. John Arvidsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Derwin, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Pablo Orti made a precise shot to the right of John Arvidsson. Menofta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. A collision led to Marlin FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Domingo Jon hit a great ball. In the 45th minute Sonny Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Quilino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

With a little luck, Menofta's John Arvidsson got control of the ball when Pablo Orti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eric Alebeck lost his temper 56 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Eric Alebeck kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Pelle Ekegren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menofta and the Marlin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes Menofta got a freekick which was hit by Pelle Ekegren. Pablo Orti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but John Arvidsson made a huge save. The Marlin FC fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Marlin FC's Pablo Orti looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 74th minute, Pablo Orti made a precise shot to the right of John Arvidsson. Menofta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. 77 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's Guaberto Quico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that John Arvidsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Menofta's goalkeeper John Arvidsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ignacio Derwin. John Arvidsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Orti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd match minute, Menofta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rutger Rosendal to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Quico in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Arvidsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marlin FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
