A collision led to Marlin FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Eugenio Perez hit a great ball. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Dogelo. Ahmet Danış Garipbaş stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ambrosio Quilino. 0-2. Ambrosio Quilino came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Dogelo's Frank Catarinense. But to his dismay, Frank Catarinense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Guaberto Quico kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Manúel Bento. That made the score 1-3 in the 19 minute of play. Ambrosio Quilino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Dogelo's Frank Catarinense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ambrosio Quilino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, one of Marlin FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Frank Catarinense might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ambrosio Quilino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Catarinense ran back to his position shaking his head. Ambrosio Quilino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marlin FC's Ambrosio Quilino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Catarinense in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Dogelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Dogelo's Manúel Bento got control of the ball when Pablo Orti tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Marlin FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dogelo:s goal. Marlin FC:s Ambrosio Quilino showed great skill when he stopped Ahmet Danış Garipbaş:s penalty. After the first half Dogelo were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guaberto Quico to strike the kick off in the second half. Manúel Bento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Quico in the 51st minute of play. Frank Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Ambrosio Quilino made a huge save. Frank Catarinense who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Ambrosio Quilino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 58 minutes, Justino Dabi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dogelo and the Marlin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Frank Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Ambrosio Quilino made a huge save. A collision led to Marlin FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Guaberto Quico hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Frank Catarinense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ambrosio Quilino was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. A collision led to Dogelo getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ahmet Danış Garipbaş hit a great ball. Ambrosio Quilino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliverios Marcilla in the 70th minute of the match. Frank Catarinense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ambrosio Quilino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Ambrosio Quilino was a little too slow when Frank Catarinense got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliverios Marcilla in the 86th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Ambrosio Quilino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Frank Catarinense notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Marlin FC's Ambrosio Quilino. Ambrosio Quilino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dogelo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
