With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wincenty Chlebek in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manúel Bento saved Dogelo from getting behind. SS SuperSonics's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zdzislaw Dembowski in the 20th minute. After taking down the ball on SS SuperSonics's corner Wincenty Chlebek fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manúel Bento quite easily take care of the ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Almiron was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, one of SS SuperSonics:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SS SuperSonics. SS SuperSonics:s Jerzy Dudek showed great skill when he stopped Ahmet Danış Garipbaş:s penalty. In the 91st match minute, Dogelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lewis van Dijk to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th play minute Wincenty Chlebek came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Manúel Bento. 1-4. The SS SuperSonics players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
