The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Marlin FC defense, Lino Fernado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ambrosio Quilino. The Marlin FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ambrosio Quilino should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guaberto Quico in the 8th minute of play forced NECKER49's goalkeeper Timoteo Maldonado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 played minutes NECKER49 got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Pasqual. Ambrosio Quilino came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by NECKER49's Emilio Ursino. But to his dismay, Emilio Ursino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 20th minute, Pablo Orti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pablo Orti's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Timoteo Maldonado firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ignacio Derwin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Timoteo Maldonado made a huge save. Marlin FC's Guaberto Malvin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for NECKER49. In the 37th minute of the match, Primitivo Fidensio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Timoteo Maldonado saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ambrosio Quilino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Venceslao, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guaberto Quico made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Pablo Orti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marlin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Orti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timoteo Maldonado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ambrosio Quilino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Venceslao in the 52nd minute of the match. Lino Fernado succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 67th playminute. NECKER49's Fausto Fero was substituted for Severiano Pasqual. Evaristo Nel hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The supporters of NECKER49 booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Darien didn't get a good kick on the ball. NECKER49's Timoteo Maldonado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignacio Derwin in the 80th minute of play. After 84 minutes, Guaberto Malvin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marlin FC and the NECKER49 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Marlin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Malvin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Lekubegi in the 88th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Ambrosio Quilino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of NECKER49 booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Darien didn't get a good kick on the ball.
