If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Santos Sidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 28th minute of the match. After 30 minutes Sacronas Futbol Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. In the 30th match minute, Sacronas Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Crespo to maneuver through the defense. Santos Sidro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 41 minutes into the match, Sacronas Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Santos Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Sacronas Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Lon didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. After 56 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Kees Mooiweer. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Santos Sidro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Sacronas Futbol Club getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Saul Lon hit a great ball. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. Santos Sidro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 75th minute. After 77 minutes of play, Sacronas Futbol Club's Denis Stanislao made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Stanislao in the 79th minute of play. Saul Merexildo kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Sacronas Futbol Club's Everardo Lore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sacronas Futbol Club succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Netherlands had controlled the match.
