In the 8th minute Zygmunt Pawlik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on KP Chemik Police's corner Napoleon Marchlewicz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tommy Kahn quite easily take care of the ball. In the 13th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Federer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janik Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Napoleon Marchlewicz had a good opportunity to score a goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went on the wrong side of the left post. 20 minutes into the match, Zygmunt Pawlik dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn, 1-0. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zygmunt Pawlik couldn't finish the play. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Frank Sachs a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Frank Sachs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
