Ramiro Quintanilha started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei Peixoto in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Shilton saved Italiano from getting behind. In the 8th minute, Claudinei Peixoto made a precise shot to the right of Peter Shilton. Italiano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Claudinei Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Peter Shilton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bergamim F.C.. In the 14th minute, Claudinei Peixoto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bergamim F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Peter Shilton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lando Guazo in the 17th minute. Didi de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Quintanilha in the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei Peixoto in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Shilton saved Italiano from getting behind. In the 22nd minute of the match Bergamim F.C. got a corner. Italiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tassos Koutsoubos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Bergamim F.C.'s Tassos Koutsoubos to fire away a dangerous shot which Peter Shilton despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Claudinei Peixoto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Shilton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Diego Armando Maradona was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Italiano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bergamim F.C. the free kick. In the 30th match minute, Italiano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Armando Maradona to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Claudinei Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Shilton was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Claudinei Peixoto sped through Italiano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Peter Shilton. Bergamim F.C.'s Didi de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Låsberg in the 37th minute of play. Peter Shilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Peixoto in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Joseph Låsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 48 minutes, Claudinei Peixoto made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Italiano's Peter Shilton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When Tassos Koutsoubos came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Bergamim F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tassos Koutsoubos couldn't finish the play. When Bergamim F.C.'s Claudinei Peixoto in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Italiano's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Tassos Koutsoubos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergamim F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tassos Koutsoubos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Shilton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Italiano getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Dobromir Oleszak hit a great ball. Peter Shilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lando Guazo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramiro Quintanilha got free with Didi de Moraes in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Italiano were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Bergamim F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Diego Armando Maradona took the corner. After taking down the ball on Italiano's corner Joseph Låsberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Didi de Moraes quite easily take care of the ball. Claudinei Peixoto scored 6-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peter Shilton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Bergamim F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Bergamim F.C.'s Claudinei Peixoto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 91st minute, Claudinei Peixoto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bergamim F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. Peter Shilton came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Bergamim F.C.'s Claudinei Peixoto. But to his dismay, Claudinei Peixoto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 10-0 when Claudinei Peixoto sped through Italiano's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Peter Shilton. 100 minutes into the match, Bergamim F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Diego Armando Maradona came free, but Didi de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
