After the first half Palestra do Interior were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kryspin Budzyn was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Jesus Bitxintxo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Allan Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Vitório Lago took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Johnny Kopp to make any attempt to save it. FC Talanglös's Örjan Öman was substituted for Kryspin Budzyn. Allan Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Bitxintxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
