Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Herman Kleen sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Band Of Brothers's Hami Tuna. Hami Tuna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hami Tuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Band Of Brothers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Arnout Reekers was a little too slow when Stanley St Clair got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-3. Hami Tuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 36th minute of the match. David Eikelkamp hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The referee showed Lars Meesters the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anders Holmgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanley St Clair in the 56th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hami Tuna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hami Tuna, 2-5. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hami Tuna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. Hami Tuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Hami Tuna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Band Of Brothers made a substitution. Vilgot Falk replaced Vilgot Jansson. Carl Caniggia took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-6. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Caniggia in the 75th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Hami Tuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Band Of Brothers's Bobby Bastard was substituted for Stanley St Clair. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anders Holmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 80 minutes of play, Band Of Brothers's Dino Ciccarelli made it 4-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Hami Tuna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Bastard in the 88th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hami Tuna made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. 92 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Anders Holmgren came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd match minute, Band Of Brothers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrik Billvall to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Band Of Brothers booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wim Wilmes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bobby Bastard in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Netherlands had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
