Vladan Kovačević was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabian Czeszejko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olimpia HSB's Sixto Yanguas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gust Ennemans, made in the 72nd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Lars Meesters slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vladan Kovačević. That made the score 2-3 after 77 minutes of play. Olimpia HSB's Jacek Pietrowiak was substituted for Fabian Czeszejko. In the 84th minute, Gust Ennemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85thth minute of the game Jacek Pietrowiak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olimpia HSB's Vladan Kovačević proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Olimpia HSB from getting a goal against them. Gust Ennemans kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Jacek Pietrowiak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olimpia HSB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. After a rather tough play, Olimpia HSB's Panait Maxim got a free kick in the 97th minute. Despite being the better team, Netherlands failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
