Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sreten Popovic in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Fredriksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nils Asklund scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 16 played minutes Balders Hage IF got a freekick which was hit by Sigvard Brask. A collision led to Balders Hage IF getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alf Felin hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valter Volberg. With a little luck, Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic got control of the ball when Sigvard Brask tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valter Volberg got free with Zvezdan Nedeljkovic in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 31 minutes, Ove Lundgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balders Hage IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ove Lundgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Nils Asklund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 35 minutes into the game, Nils Asklund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sigvard Brask was the one to do the kick off. After 57th play minutes Sigvard Brask shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Zvezdan Nedeljkovic and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 59th match minute, Balders Hage IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Rönn to maneuver through the defense. Sreten Popovic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Sreten Popovic was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Serbia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balders Hage IF the free kick. After 61 played minutes Serbia got a freekick which was hit by Sreten Popovic. When Sigvard Brask came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Balders Hage IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sigvard Brask couldn't finish the play. Simon Sjöberg charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simon Sjöberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sigvard Brask sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ove Lundgren in the 80th minute of play. After some careless play in the Serbia defense, Sigvard Brask kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. The Serbia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zvezdan Nedeljkovic should have stopped the shot. Borjan Golubovic hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ove Lundgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ove Lundgren ran back to his position shaking his head. 95 minutes into the game, Balders Hage IF's Sigvard Brask nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. There was no doubt that Balders Hage IF were the better team. Balders Hage IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
