Maxime Durand came out and tried to block the shot, but Prosper Vandamme slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 10th minute. Ulryk Podolski kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of 1909 Tarnovia booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Robiquet didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Zdzislaw Biraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1909 Tarnovia's supporters rose to their feet, but Zdzislaw Biraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Peletier made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zdzislaw Biraga in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Prosper Vandamme came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maxime Durand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerzy Grocholski's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 64th minute 1909 Tarnovia were awarded a corner. Zdzislaw Biraga went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 67th minute Prosper Vandamme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prosper Vandamme in the 68th minute of the match. After 69 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Maxence Durand. In the 70th minute, Maxence Durand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Zenon Hetman came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the 1909 Tarnovia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zenon Hetman couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prosper Vandamme in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. After 91 played minutes 1909 Tarnovia got a freekick which was hit by Zenon Hetman. 1909 Tarnovia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
