The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Maxim Șerbulea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Mădălin Gâgea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Czech Republic defense, Maxim Șerbulea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vavrinec Holub. The Czech Republic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vavrinec Holub should have stopped the shot. Svatopluk Capek hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Dostal in the 29th minute of play forced ⚽RAE⚽'s goalkeeper Ernest Enescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kvetoslav Janku's late challenge caught a ⚽RAE⚽'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kvetoslav Janku helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ⚽RAE⚽ booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Vitek didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Czech Republic:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ⚽RAE⚽:s goal. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

After 53 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Dalimil Charvat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucian Buzincu in the 54th minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Rezek during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Denis Dostal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Erik Jilek came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Czech Republic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Jilek couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, Damian Oneț got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mădălin Gâgea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vavrinec Holub having to make a save. 73 minutes into the match, Paul Mirea notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub. Vavrinec Holub was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 84 minutes, Alin Moiș mouthed his way into the referee's book. Mădălin Gâgea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Vavrinec Holub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that ⚽RAE⚽ were the better team. ⚽RAE⚽'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
