The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hummerfiskarna's Holger Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jay-Jay Okocha in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hummerfiskarna's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adan Aresti was slow to take the kick. During this time ★Independiente Ψ★'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Adan Aresti got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Holger Mattsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 16 minutes into the match, ★Independiente Ψ★'s goal looked a bit too open when Bolli Bolla came free, but Maximiliano Iigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel-Omar Batista in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Holger Mattsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute of the match ★Independiente Ψ★ got a corner. Hummerfiskarna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adan Aresti ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Adan Aresti almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hummerfiskarna's Holger Mattsson did a great save. In the 36th minute Gabriel-Omar Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When ★Independiente Ψ★'s Gabriel-Omar Batista in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hummerfiskarna's goalie prevented a goal. Maximiliano Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Queirós in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bolli Bolla in the 44th minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hana Banana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximiliano Iigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Gilberto Loreto got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bolli Bolla to make the kick off. Bolli Bolla came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Maximiliano Iigo could save by the left post. In the 62nd minute Gabriel-Omar Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Holger Mattsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Iigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils-Åke Lagerberg. Hummerfiskarna made a substitution. Edwin Söderberg replaced Rickard Malmström. Hummerfiskarna's Andrea De Toro was substituted for Arnaldo Queirós. Tomas Gorbea hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Maximiliano Iigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bolli Bolla in the 71st minute. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Maximiliano Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Åke Lagerberg in the 72nd minute of play. When Bolli Bolla came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Hummerfiskarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bolli Bolla couldn't finish the play. Hummerfiskarna's Holger Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel-Omar Batista in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Hummerfiskarna's Andrea De Toro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximiliano Iigo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maximiliano Iigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrea De Toro in the 81st minute of play. ★Independiente Ψ★'s Cristian Jaunti was substituted for Nicolas Salomon. Hummerfiskarna were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after ★Independiente Ψ★'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florin Răducioiu took the corner. After taking down the ball on Hummerfiskarna's corner Andrea De Toro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Maximiliano Iigo quite easily take care of the ball. In the 86th minute of the game Gilberto Loreto made a throw-in which Israel Manuelo played forward. Lei Feng Ying blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Holger Mattsson having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lei Feng Ying in the 89th minute of play forced Hummerfiskarna's goalkeeper Holger Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the ★Independiente Ψ★ defense, Andrea De Toro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximiliano Iigo. The ★Independiente Ψ★ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximiliano Iigo should have stopped the shot. The ★Independiente Ψ★ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hummerfiskarna were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
