A very good chance for a goal. Persepolis F.C.'s Santos Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 4th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Warner Anaya came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th play minute Arden Poulin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tommy Kahn. 1-0. In the 16th minute Warner Anaya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Arden Poulin lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Tommy Kahn. Janik Vogt hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Dominic Delgado did an outstanding performance 30 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 3-0 to the right of an irritated Tommy Kahn in the goal. In the 34thth minute of the game Arden Poulin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santos Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 minutes, Warner Anaya made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Warner Anaya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Avery Merrill went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arden Poulin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Albin Holweck struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Santos Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Santos Perez having to make a save. Persepolis F.C.'s Avery Merrill got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santos Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Albin Holweck took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santos Perez. Santos Perez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. In the 87th minute, Albin Holweck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Persepolis F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
