Austria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Youssef Malek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After having played for 15 minutes, Udalaitz Anel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Revolución Joao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Udalaitz Anel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Austria's Fabio Auer got control of the ball when Youssef Malek tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st play minute Youssef Malek came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fabio Auer. 4-0. After having played for 25 minutes, Youssef Malek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fabio Schneider's late challenge caught a Revolución Joao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabio Schneider helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, Fabio Schneider hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Youssef Malek took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Fabio Auer to make any attempt to save it. Fabio Auer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youssef Malek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Youssef Malek took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabio Auer. Fabio Auer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. If Youssef Malek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sandro Galishoff was the one to do the kick off. Youssef Malek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Auer having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youssef Malek in the 53rd minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabio Auer came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Revolución Joao FC's Leandro Bartoli.
